Matt Ross, Founder and CEO of Blackhaven Ranch

Matt Ross is the founder of Blackhaven Ranch and a lifelong advocate for sustainable living and community connection. Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Matt developed a passion for nature, wellness, and self-sufficiency that inspired the creation of Blackhaven Ranch.

Through Blackhaven Ranch, Matt works to connect families with farm-raised meat and fresh produce sourced from local farms, helping bridge the gap between farmers and the community. His vision is rooted in providing access to quality food while supporting local agriculture and long-term sustainability.

When he’s not building the business, Matt can often be found gardening, raising backyard chickens, and enjoying the outdoors through hiking and kayaking.

Danielle Lawson, CFO of Blackhaven Ranch 

Danielle Lawson is the CFO and Co-Founder of Blackhaven Ranch, where she helps turn the vision of sustainable, community centered food access into a growing business. With a background in leadership and operations, Danielle leads the financial strategy and growth of Blackhaven Ranch, guiding expansion through farmers markets, wholesale options, and direct sales. 

Danielle brings a system focused approach to the business, balancing financial stewardship with thoughtful growth. She is deeply invested in building something lasting-one that supports local farms, strengthens food access, and creates meaningful connections between families and the food they bring to their tables.
